Your digital wedding invitation checklist

Check names, event details, portraits, music and the guest link before sharing a digital wedding invitation with family and friends.

Start with one agreed set of details

Collect the final details in one note and have the couple or designated family member approve them. This prevents an old venue spelling or a provisional time from slipping into the invitation.

Treat the list below as a review checklist. Different weddings need different events, titles and wording; include only what belongs to yours.

  • Couple’s names and preferred spelling.
  • Host or family wording, if you want it included.
  • The events each guest should attend, in the right order.
  • Confirmed dates, start times and full venue addresses.
  • How and when guests should reply.

Check each event separately

An invitation can look right while one event has the wrong date. Read each celebration as if you were a guest seeing it for the first time. For an event crossing midnight, write the calendar date carefully and explain the timing where needed.

Use an unambiguous date such as “12 December 2026”. If guests are travelling across time zones, make the local time clear in the event note.

  • Date and start time match the family’s final schedule.
  • Venue name and address identify the correct location.
  • Optional notes contain useful instructions, not unfinished placeholders.
  • The guest can tell one event from the next.

Review the experience on a phone

Use portraits you have permission to share. Check faces after cropping and review the invitation with sound both on and off. Names, dates and venue information should remain understandable without music.

In CardCraft, personalise your invitation and review its preview before paying. Previews carry a watermark; verified payment publishes the clean guest invitation.

  • Portraits are correctly cropped.
  • Names and longer venue text remain readable.
  • Every selected event appears in the expected order.
  • The invitation’s reply section is easy to find.

Test the exact link you will send

After publication, send the guest link to yourself on WhatsApp and open it there. Then ask one trusted person to open it on their phone. This catches issues that a desktop preview can miss.

Keep the private management link for the invitation owner. If you later change details, publish the approved update and recheck the guest link before telling guests the information has changed.
